Tariff Business Resources
This page is updated as new information or resources become available.

The U.S. government has proposed and, at times, implemented a 25% tariff on certain Canadian imports—a move that could have significant economic consequences for both Canada and the United States. Whether imposed or under consideration, these tariffs threaten to disrupt integrated supply chains, increase costs for consumers, and harm businesses and workers on both sides of the border.
The B.C. government estimates that under the most recent tariff scenario, B.C. could see a cumulative loss of $43 billion in real GDP by 2029. The Canadian Chamber of Commerce's Business Data Lab (BDL) estimates that such tariffs could cost Americans approximately $1,300 per person annually.
The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade wants to ensure that B.C. businesses are well-equipped to navigate this evolving trade environment. On this webpage, you will find a survey to help inform GVBOT's advocacy efforts, as well as links to numerous member resources to support your business. Bridgitte Anderson, President and CEO of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, is also serving as co-chair of the B.C. Trade and Economic Security Task Force.
Your input, provided through the survey below, will help inform GVBOT's ongoing advocacy efforts with government.
