Leadership through Recovery

Leadership through Recovery

Mental Health in the Workplace.

If the pandemic gave us a shared experience, so too does our recovery journey. Challenges with mental health have been experienced individually, in workplaces, among families and communities and may be exacerbated with the economic uncertainty we find ourselves in.

The journey to healing requires a collective approach, calling for leadership at all levels to boost those around them and support their journeys to improved mental health and well-being.

Greater Vancouver Board of Trade invites you to join us for breakfast and a panel discussion to hear about practical approaches to leading self and others through recovery.

Master of Counselling Psychology Graduate Student and Competitive Athlete

Tori Wood is a graduate student in counselling psychology. Upon completion of her practicum she intends to become an MC Registered Clinical Counsellor and acquire further certification with the Canadian Sports Psychology Association. Tori is also a competitive mountain bike racer, competing in both the Enduro and Downhill disciplines. Tori’s personal experiences with mental health issues were the foundation of her pursuit in a career in the field. However, she has found that through mountain biking and her involvement in the outdoor community, there is a platform for her to share her experiences and to help others through normalizing mental illness and reducing stigma.
