VANCOUVER, B.C. — KPMG and the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade are excited to announce the launch of the AI Adoption Program, a cutting-edge initiative designed to help businesses embrace the power of artificial intelligence (AI). This brand-new program is set to equip companies with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to seamlessly integrate generative AI into their operations—increasing productivity, enhancing customer experience, and ultimately boosting revenue.

With AI revolutionizing industries around the globe, the AI Adoption Program is designed to turn theory into action. It offers practical, hands-on guidance on the implementation of generative AI, with real-world examples and actionable insights that will deliver measurable results.

Participants will leave with a custom AI Adoption Plan tailored to their organization's unique objectives and capabilities.

"This program is about empowering businesses to not only understand AI but to harness its potential in ways that are directly aligned with their goals," says Marc Low, Director of Innovation, Growth & Emerging Technology at KPMG, and a leader in KPMG Canada's AI initiatives. Marc will spearhead the program, bringing his deep expertise in the field of generative AI to guide businesses in the Greater Vancouver Area.

According to the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Benchmarking Greater Vancouver Report, the region ranks among the top 50 global AI talent pools, with a concentration of quality and diversity that places it ahead of cities like Amsterdam and Tel Aviv. Despite this advantage, British Columbia lags in AI adoption, with only 39% of business owners considering AI integration, and just 6.1% of Canadian businesses implementing AI in the past year.

“AI is projected to increase global economic growth by $13 trillion by the end of the decade. The integration of AI across industries in B.C. has the potential to drive much-needed productivity,” says Bridgitte Anderson, CEO and President of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.  “This program will empower businesses, big and small, to not only understand AI but also apply it in ways that enhance productivity, drive innovation, and grow their bottom line.”

The AI Adoption Program is open to organizations across all industries and levels of expertise, offering a roadmap to integrate AI technologies into everyday operations. By providing a comprehensive framework for AI adoption, the program ensures that organizations can adapt to this new era of digital transformation, becoming more competitive and future-ready.

This initiative not only aims to make British Columbia a leader in the AI-driven economy but also to upskill individuals and teams to thrive in this rapidly evolving landscape. As the world embraces the 4th industrial revolution, this program will ensure that B.C.'s businesses are not left behind but are leading the way.
