Critical Minerals – the Time is Now

British Columbia's critical mineral and mining industry stands at a pivotal point in the global energy transition.

While critical minerals are essential for clean technologies and fighting climate change, ongoing challenges remain in adopting the right fiscal and regulatory policies to support the growth of B.C.’s mining sector.

To be sure, British Columbia is well-positioned to be a leading global supplier of responsibly-produced critical minerals and metals, but our time is limited to capitalize on this generational opportunity.

Join Michael Goehring, President and CEO of the Mining Association of BC, who will address what actions must be taken to seize the opportunity before us.

About the speaker:

As President and CEO of MABC, Michael Goehring brings BC’s mining sector vision, passion and decades of experience providing public affairs and strategic communications counsel to leading natural resource companies in BC and Canada. He joined MABC following a successful career as partner in the Vancouver office of Canada’s largest communications firm, where he built a strong reputation advancing challenging public policy files and delivering successful advocacy and communications campaigns.
