The COVID-19 pandemic has unified us in our stress and anxiety. Many of us have experienced one, if not all, of these emotions: worried, anxious, depressed, lonely, and bored. Unfortunately, experts don't see these issues dissipating any time soon.

When you compile self-isolation, financial hardships, or working on the front-lines, with everything else, people are feeling scared about their futures, worried about their health and safety and quite frankly, it is a big hole to dig out of.

In times of extreme stress and uncertainty, emotional intelligence is critical. Emotional intelligence is the ability to tune into our feelings and use the information provided by our emotions to act appropriately in the face of daily challenges. In short, it can help you understand, express and manage your emotions and think clearly and solve problems under pressure.

Let's face it – the coronavirus has been one of the most disrupting influences in our lifetime. We all must take a moment to pause and determine how we feel and how those emotions are impacting our thoughts and behaviours.

This session will:

  • Highlight the emotional state in our world
  • Discuss the impact emotional intelligence has on your personal and professional effectiveness
  • Share some strategies to help you become emotionally resilient and mentally tough during difficult times of uncertainty
