Diversity and Inclusion Training: Unconscious Bias
Due to popular demand our inaugural Foundations in Diversity and Inclusion Certification is sold out.
The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade's Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council is pleased to announce a virtual instructor-led training on diversity and inclusion, in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI).
There are three separate sessions held over three days. You can choose to purchase a bundle package that includes all three days or attend only the session(s) that are most relevant to you.
Please note that in order to receive the CCDI Foundation Certificate, you will need to attend all three sessions:
- August 25: Diversity and Inclusion Fundamentals
- August 26: Introduction to Unconscious Bias
- August 27: Respect in the Workplace
Session 2
Introduction to Unconscious Bias
This session tackles one of the most pervasive barriers to inclusion in the workplace: conscious and unconscious bias. We explore the sources and mechanics of bias, its impact and cyclicality. We then provide participants with strategies to increase awareness and mitigate the impact of bias in the workplace.
