Climate Action and Business: Greater Vancouver Businesses as Champions for the Environment
Corporate interest in sustainability is greater than ever before. Pressing environmental concerns, federal targets and consumer demand are amplifying the need for businesses to adopt sustainable practices. As more businesses look to reduce waste, improve efficiencies, and cut down on greenhouse gasses, new business models and technological advances are unlocking new opportunities and opening doors that foster economically and environmentally sustainable business practices.
Over a series of events we are taking an in-depth look at key sustainability issues and how they are influencing businesses and business strategies.
The first event in the series, Climate Action and Business, will feature businesses in our region that are champions for the environment and will explore the role business is playing in mitigating climate change and how being socially conscious can lead to a competitive edge.
