Volunteer with The Big Elf Run
Join the CYP Outreach team and volunteer at the Big Elf Run! This holiday themed fun run offers a 1km Wee Elf Run, a 5km Big Elf run/walk, or a 2 loop 10km run/walk around scenic Stanley Park.
There will also be a Big Toy Drive where Elf racers can donate to the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. To learn more about the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau please visit lmcb.ca
Volunteer tasks may include:
- Start/finish line
- Bag check
- Route team
- VolunCHEERs squad
Why volunteer:
- Give back to a great organization and have some festive holiday fun
- Learn more about a valuable organization the community
- Help the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau raise funds for distributing toys, clothes and food vouchers to over 1,000 low income families in Vancouver during the holiday season
- Meet other Board of Trade Members
What to bring:
- Yourself and a great attitude!
- Anything that is needed to volunteer (i.e. gloves, safety vests etc.) will be provided by Running Tours, the event organizers.
- Don't forget your reading glasses if you use them.
What to wear:
- Clothing you don't mind getting dirty
- Extra layers to keep you warm
- Dry layers in case of rain
- Footwear that will keep you comfy, warm and dry
- Elf costume is not mandatory but is welcome
