Leadership Cafe: Skills you wish you'd learned in school

Sharpen your pencils for this interactive Leadership Café!

Many of us leave college or university with the knowledge and technical skills needed to start a fulfilling career, but what about the soft skills that are key to leadership success?

After graduation, you no longer have a variety of professors to learn from, so how do you find new mentors? You don't put your hand up during at a work meeting to share an idea — so how do you confidently speak up? You can no longer roll out of bed and wear whatever you want — so how do develop your own professional style?

This Leadership Café will cover three major skills imperative to establishing yourself as a professional. An interactive workshop or discussion will follow each of the three presentations.

What will you gain from attending?

  • Learn how to use networking and mentorship to enhance your professional development
  • Develop confident communication skills for the workplace
  • Discover how to present yourself as a professional
