Serving Dinner at Salvation Army Harbour Light

Join the CYP Outreach team at the Salvation Army Harbour Light serving dinner to those in need.

As part of the daily community meal program, volunteers will serve food, greet guests, and assist with the clean up. The program serves an average of 350 people per meal and provides about 10 free meals per person per week.

The Salvation Army works in 400 communities across Canada and 125+ countries around the world. The Salvation Army is the largest non-governmental provider of social services in Canada with Vancouver Harbour Light being the Salvation Army's largest facility in Canada.  They have been serving the Downtown Eastside community since 1953.

Following this volunteer experience, there will be an opportunity for participating CYP volunteers to join in a networking social.

Please note:  All volunteers for this opportunity must be 19 or older.
