The Honourable Kellie Leitch

On Wednesday, April 8, we are pleased to host Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Canada's Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, for a keynote address to The Vancouver Board of Trade.

Minister Leitch will speak to the initiatives her Ministry is undertaking to promote equality for women and the full participation of women in the economic, social and democratic life of Canada.

Minister Leitch will highlight some of the key challenges Canada faces. Minister Leitch will share her ideas about how we can increase women's economic security and prosperity, encourage women's leadership and democratic participation, and end violence against women and girls.

Wendy McDonald Awards:

Following Minister Leitch's keynote address, she will be joined on stage by recipients of The Vancouver Board of Trade's Wendy McDonald Awards. The panel will have a dynamic discussion further exploring the themes of women's leadership, empowerment, and equality, through a more regional lens.

The moderated discussion will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of the panellists.
