Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Launches Application for 2025 Community Spotlight Series
Vancouver, BC – The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade (GVBOT) is proud to celebrate the strength and diversity of our community by launching the 2025 Community Spotlight Series. At the heart of a strong economy is a strong community, and many GVBOT members are making a profound impact through their work to improve the social and economic wellbeing of our region. By sharing their stories, GVBOT aims to inspire others and foster a more connected and resilient Greater Vancouver.
The Community Spotlight Series recognizes the vital role non-profit organizations play in addressing critical needs and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens. Each quarter, GVBOT will spotlight a Vancouver-based non-profit organization across its platforms, highlighting their efforts to build a stronger, more inclusive city.
Applications for the 2025 series are open until November 30th, with the selected organizations set to be announced in December.
In 2024, GVBOT highlighted four remarkable Vancouver-based non-profits: BC Centre for Ability, BC Achievement Foundation, LDS (Learn, Develop, Succeed), and Canuck Place Children's Hospice. These organizations were celebrated for their work in supporting citizens through programs and services that foster growth, inclusion, and care.
The initiative, now in its second year, was launched in response to the financial constraints and capacity limitations many not-for-profits face. Being a not-for-profit themselves and as Western Canada's leading business association GVBOT knew they held a mantle of responsibility to bridge the gap between the business community and our not-for-profit members.
“As we launch the 2025 Community Spotlight Series, we are reminded of the vital role non-profit organizations play in shaping the fabric of our community,” said Bridgitte Anderson, President and CEO of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. “These organizations not only provide essential services but also strengthen the social and economic resilience of our region. It’s our privilege to help highlight their work and offer them a platform to inspire others.”
To be eligible for the 2025 Community Spotlight Series, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Non-profits and charities interested in applying can submit their applications through the GVBOT website. The chosen organizations will be recognized throughout the year for their invaluable contributions to the local community.
