Join Chair Mike Hurley for an update from Metro Vancouver, the regional federation responsible for planning and delivering essential services to over half of BC’s population. Metro Vancouver is recognized globally for excellent service delivery, as one of Canada’s top-ranked affordable housing providers, a North American leader in waste reduction and recycling, and a trusted source of high-quality drinking water for over a century. Hear how the organization is planning for continued population growth, responding to economic pressures, and working to build a more livable, sustainable, and prosperous region.

Chair Hurley will provide an update on Metro Vancouver’s plans for delivering the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects, its largest capital project to date, and will outline the organization’s five-year budget, which addresses affordability concerns while ensuring cost sustainability for ratepayers across the region.
