A Night of Non-Profit Engagement

LOT

In partnership with Charitable Impact, the RIX Centre for Leadership is proud to announce the 5th Annual Night of Non-Profit Engagement, which will connect our Engaged Leadership Program (ELP) participants and other young professionals in the region with local non-profits and charities.

This event will kick-off with a keynote by Charitable Impact's Founder and CEO, John Bromley. Following the conversation, attendees will have the opportunity to network with local non-profits and charities to uncover opportunities at the board-level or long-term skill-based volunteer positions.

By attending, you are supporting the local non-profit sector, as well as helping these organizations to continue their important work within our community.

About the speaker:

John Bromley grew up with charity at the core of his family’s values. He took his professional background in corporate finance, working with PwC and later RBC Capital Markets, and co-founded a charity services boutique with his father, one of the world's foremost experts in charity law, and a pioneer of charitable law and gift planning in Canada. After developing an in-depth understanding of the complex world underpinning the charity sector and its donors, John went on to launch Charitable Impact, a donor-advised fund-based organization whose purpose is to help people create the change they want to see in the world, no matter what causes they choose to support, how much they give, or how experienced they are with charitable giving. To date, Charitable Impact has facilitated over $1 billion in donations from donors ranging in size from $5 to well over $50M. John has helped shape, structure and negotiate well over $2 Billion worth of giving on behalf of people, corporations, and existing foundations. John is also a two-time TEDx speaker, Forty Under 40 winner, CEO Community Leadership award winner, self-professed wannabe athlete, former ‘90s hip-hop DJ, and proud father of two kids. Charitable Impact has been recognized as a Top 50 FinTech Company and has achieved the Great Place to Work Certification.
