Revitalising Vancouver's Downtown Core

DVBIA

City centres in Canada have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The absence of office workers and international tourism in Vancouver has had a devastating impact on restaurants and retailers that rely on foot traffic, while hotels faced a similar decline in revenues under nationwide travel advisories and restrictions on large gatherings.

Despite the remarkable success of our COVID-19 vaccination program in B.C., it is unclear when activity in our city centres will return to pre-pandemic levels. A comprehensive approach to ensuring that businesses are equipped to survive the coming months is crucial for revitalising these key regions.

Join us for a panel discussion regarding the state of our city centre and the actions required to reinvigorate downtown Vancouver.
