Capital Raising for Small Businesses in B.C.

Capital Raising for Small Businesses in BC

Companies of every size frequently need access to capital. This presentation will give you an overview of how securities rules apply to businesses looking to raise capital in a variety of ways, including raising money through start-up crowdfunding.

The BC Securities Commission (BCSC) is the government agency responsible for regulating the Securities Act, including how businesses raise capital, securities trading, and investor protection in BC. Through education, the BCSC helps businesses to understand how to raise money in a timely and efficient way, and to avoid unintended compliance problems.
