Economic Recovery Series: Investing in the Future

Economic Recovery Series

When the Great Fire of 1886 devastated Vancouver, business leaders gathered together to not only overcome the immediate impacts of the devastation, but to lay the foundations that would help the region to prosper well into the future.

Fast forward 134 years and the challenges that face our city look a little bit different. But just as they did after the Great Fire, businesses must once again come together to ensure Vancouver not only survives this global pandemic, but thrives long after it has passed.

Investing in the future
The long-term competitiveness of our region rests on the measures that will be implemented today. Investments in technology, in infrastructure, and in the future of our workforce will all be crucial to ensuring our region’s continued prosperity.

This event will feature prominent figures from the full spectrum of Greater Vancouver’s business community who will discuss the steps that need to be taken to ensure our region emerges from COVID-19 as a world-class place to live and work.
