About the Speaker:
With 20+ years of experience spanning start-up to rapid growth environments, Carey has contributed extensively to health, wellness and sport communities locally, nationally and internationally. As President of YYOGA, YYOGA at Home and Own a YYOGA, she leads the development, growth and strategy for the company. In addition, Carey is an advisor to many organizations including the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs; Victory Square Technologies a technology accelerator; and Beautiful Game Group a private equity company investing in professional sports teams globally.
Previously, as the VP of Finance for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, Carey was instrumental in the start-up, growth and dissolution of the organization; she also acted as an advisor to London 2012 and Sochi 2014 Olympic Games. In addition, she has held senior leadership positions with Boston Pizza, MEC and KPMG and been a board member for high-profile organizations like 2016 Americas Masters Games, 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Sport BC, One Girl Can and many others.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a CPA-CA designation, a member of YPO and was nominated for YWCA's 2019 Women of Distinction in the business & professions category.
