Building the port of the future
Robin Silvester
The opportunities provided by Canada's new trade deals, coupled with the challenges of growing U.S. protectionism, are intensifying the national importance of the Port of Vancouver as the hub of Canada's trans-Pacific trade.
Simultaneously, the federal government has launched its Ports Modernization Review to update and modernize Canada's ports system. Given these currents of change, questions emerge: What is the "port of the future"? And how can we build it?
Join Robin Silvester, president and chief executive officer of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, for his 10th annual address to the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, as he discusses the qualities that will define the "port of the future" – in Vancouver and beyond.
