At this Leadership Café you will get to hear from young entrepreneurs about their entrepreneurial journey and discover how to be the entrepreneur of your own life

Each speaker will put on an interactive workshop that will allow you to collaborate with fellow CYP Members.

About the Speakers

Miranda Lam

Miranda Lam began her career with the CPA, CA designation over 10 years ago, ultimately leading her to start her own businesses. Miranda is the founder and CEO of Think Capital, a Vancouver-based consultancy focused on helping companies create their brand identity, raise money and scale their businesses. She also currently serves as the Director of Business Development at First Coin Capital and is co-founder of Dojo Technology Corp. With her deep knowledge of how to build businesses, manage teams and projects, she first co-founded Dojo, a platform that helps make Financial institutions active partners in financial education. On behalf of Dojo, Miranda won the 2017 Women in Payments Audience Choice award in Toronto this past Fall. 

Miranda was previously the Director of Finance at Hootsuite Media Inc. where she raised over $225 Million USD. Prior to Hootsuite, she served in management roles at PwC with experience across audit, corporate tax and M&A. 

Miranda's entrepreneurship continues, using her understanding of how to start a business from scratch, to found Think Capital. After years of working with entrepreneurs, investors and navigating the capital fundraising landscape in Canada and the U.S., Miranda created Think Capital to help her clients raise, deploy and nurture capital.

Justin Lee

Justin Lee is the host of Young Guys Finance, a YouTube channel that focuses on teaching young Canadians the essentials of personal finance. With a unique approach to financial education, the company has amassed 6,000 subscribers and have over 150,000 view counts on YouTube. They have been featured on Global BC, MoneySense, Daily Hive, and Business in Vancouver.

Justin is also a Chartered Professional Accountant, with over five years of experience working with small businesses. He previously worked at MNP, preparing financial statements and tax returns for personal and corporate clients. In 2018, Justin started his own accounting firm, which focuses on servicing online-based businesses and cryptocurrency traders.
