Sustainable Business, Sustainable Environment
Hon. Catherine McKenna
The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade is pleased to host the Honourable Catherine McKenna on March 15 for remarks and a moderated Q&A session.
Canada's environment, resources, and economy are intertwined, and nowhere is this more apparent than in British Columbia. As GLOBE Forum 2018 prepares to welcome the world for its 14th Leadership Summit for Sustainable Business, we will welcome Minister McKenna to speak to the urgent priorities shaping — and being shaped by — British Columbia's unique economic and environmental setting.
The world wants what Canada produces, but can resources be brought to market while maintaining — and enhancing — environmental protection of Canada's Pacific coast? How does the Government of Canada's new framework around Environmental Assessments advance the responsible development of Canada's resources?
Join us as we hear from Minister McKenna on these topics and more.
About the speaker:
Catherine McKenna was elected as the first female member of Parliament for Ottawa Centre on October 19, 2015, and appointed Minister of Environment and Climate Change shortly thereafter.
