About the Speaker

Greg Moore is the Mayor of the City of Port Coquitlam and has been the Chair of the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors since 2012. His many accomplishments in public life include the development of a 10-year, $7.5 billion Metro Mayors Transit Plan for the Metro Vancouver region that translates a long-term vision for transit into practical and equitable solutions, and the creation of the National Zero Waste Council, a cross-sector leadership initiative that brings together governments, business, and NGOs to advance a national waste prevention and reduction agenda in Canada and beyond.

Moore is also involved in a number of charitable causes in his home town of Port Coquitlam, including the "Homes for Good Society", a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to end chronic homelessness by securing excess housing capacity from existing inventory, and "I Am Someone", a society dedicated to ending bullying through community awareness and support, technology, and advocacy.
