About the host:
Being the most successful Canadian club in the 2014 season, Whitecaps FC earned a berth into their first-ever CONCACAF Champions League competition.
The tournament runs through 2015-2016 and pits the 24 best clubs from North America, Central America and the Caribbean against each other. Initially, there is a group stage to determine which clubs will continue on.
The 'Caps have been grouped with their Cascadia rival, Seattle Sounders FC – who they tied 1-1 in their first match – and the reigning Honduran champions, CD Olimpia, who they'll play on September 16, in Vancouver.
The CONCACAF Champions League is a journey to become the best club in the world, as the crowned CONCACAF champion will go on to battle the other continental champions from around the planet.
