Trust: How does your business rank?

2014 was fraught with conflict and tension - from citizen unrest in Ferguson, Missouri to pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong. Globally, trust in government and business has been declining for years, and yet remains a key factor for operating in today's world. Here at home, B.C.'s booming resource sector is under increased scrutiny with trust integral to getting social license to operate.

Edelman, the world's largest PR firm, has been tracking trust globally for 15 years – watching the rising influence of "a person like me" and the decline of traditional sources of information in the eyes of informed and general publics.

Results from the Edelman Trust Barometer are released annually at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland to an elite global business community.  Join us in Vancouver on February 11th, where Edelman will present new 2015 data that shows how Canada ranks globally, and more importantly, what is going on with trust here at home.

The presentation will be followed by an expert panel discussion with local media, business and academic influencers about what the Trust Barometer means locally. And they will explore how Canadian data takes shape in the current economic landscape.
