Spirit of Vancouver

Every 10 minutes a person in Canada suffers a stroke. Each year, over 1,000 stroke survivors & family members contact SRABC for stroke information and referrals to local stroke recovery branches.

Through its local Stroke Recovery branches, the Association is committed to assisting stroke survivors and their caregivers throughout the Province to improve their overall quality of life.

The Provincial Association is further committed to ensuring that these local Stroke Recovery branches are distributed effectively throughout the Province in order to enable those stroke survivors who are desirous of support and participation to be served.

Since fund-raising is a prime activity for the Association in that, without sufficient funding, consistent program and service delivery is impossible,
