The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC), Canada’s leading public safety educator, is now offering its “Introduction to Business Countinuity Management” course through The Vancouver Board of Trade’s online learning portal, VIBEhome.

The online course, which is part of the JIBC School of Public Safety and Security, Emergency Management Division, teaches students on how to create a comprehensive business continuity plan for their organization.

Having such a plan enables companies to reduce risks and ensure important business processes continue in the event of an emergency or natural disaster. It also allows businesses to effectively respond to emergencies and reduce the impacts on both employees and the overall organization.

Kids Up Front is a registered charity that provides entertainment, educational and recreational opportunities to kids in need by redistributing unused event tickets and by creating special events that help heal, bond and unite.

We partner with over 100 child-serving agencies across Greater Vancouver to provide experiences to vulnerable kids that would otherwise be inaccessible.

We receive donated tickets from corporations and individuals to a variety of sports and arts & cultural events. Since June 2004, Kids Up Front has provided more than 75,000 quality experiences for kids at a total value of $2 million.
